Electric water heaters FAQs

Helpful Answers Before we arrive

Have a question about your specific system or situation? Call our Tillsonburg team for straightforward guidance.

Why is my electric water heater not producing enough hot water?

A failed heating element, thermostat problem, power-supply issue, sediment buildup or an undersized tank can reduce available hot water. Testing identifies the actual cause before repair or replacement is recommended.

A leaking tank usually requires replacement, while some leaks at fittings or valves may be repairable. We inspect the source, equipment age and overall condition before explaining the options.

We consider the number of occupants, fixtures, peak hot-water use, recovery needs and available space so the replacement can meet normal demand without unnecessary capacity.

It may be possible, but the home’s electrical capacity, wiring, equipment location and plumbing connections must be assessed first. Any required electrical work must be completed by the appropriate licensed trade.
