What is a Heat Pump?

An air source heat pump (ASHP) is a type of heating system that extracts heat from the outside air and transfers it to a building for heating purposes. It works by using a refrigerant to absorb heat from the outdoor air and then compresses it to raise its temperature before transferring the heat into the building’s heating system, such as underfloor heating or radiators.

ASHPs are most commonly used for space heating, and they are highly efficient and environmentally friendly since they use renewable energy from the air. They can also work in reverse during the summer months to provide cooling by extracting heat from inside the building and releasing it outside. ASHPs can be a good alternative to traditional heating systems that rely on fossil fuels like gas or oil, as they can help reduce energy bills and carbon emissions.

How can I take advantage of the Greener Homes Grant?

First, an energy audit has to be performed before you can install your new Heat Pump system to take advantage of the rebate. You don’t have to wait for the audit to be completed before you talk to one of our knowledgeable comfort advisors. They will be able to help you choose the system that is right for you and your home. They will be able to put together a system that qualifies for the rebate and answer any of your questions about the program.

How Much Money Can I get back from the Greener Home Grant?

In total you can receive up to $7,100. 

To receive the max amount, you will have to be an Enbridge customer. If you are not an Enbridge customer don’t worry there are still rebates out there for you.
